As seen on Wednesday night (24/04/2019), the team nicknamed Singo Edan introduced its new foreign player, namely Sylvano Comvalius.
At Arema FC, the Dutch striker still uses his favorite jersey number, 99. Comvalius was immediately offered a contract for the next two seasons by the management of the team nicknamed Singo Edan.
The player who is 192 centimeters tall previously played for Bali United in 2017. The player who was born in Amsterdam on August 10, 1987, in Liga 1 2017 scored 37 goals from 34 appearances in one season and was the top scorer throughout Liga 1.
Arema FC General Manager Rudy Widodo said Comvalius is the striker targeted to replace Robert Lima 'Gladiator' who had a muscle injury and his contract expired in March 2019. Rudy ensured that the player who also played for a club in Thailand and Malaysia was immediately contracted for two seasons.
The signing of Comvalius, explained Rudy, also fulfills three needs for foreign players at Arema FC. For local players, it is likely that they will be reorganized and the team with the lion's head logo is determined to become the champion of Liga 1 2019.
As a new player, Comvalius admitted that he was proud to be part of a big team like Arema FC which he said had a champion mentality. In addition, he expressed that he was also happy and wanted to play again in Indonesia.
