Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The 2019 Tax Awareness Healthy Walk held on Sunday (28/4/2019) continued to attract the enthusiasm of the people of Malang City to participate. This was evident when thousands of residents filled the area in front of the Malang City DPRD Building.

Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji, Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Forkopimda of Malang City, Chairperson of TP PKK of Malang City, Deputy Chairperson I of TP PKK of Malang City, Head of Bank Jatim, and OPD within the Malang City Government were also present at this activity.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, said that what was implemented was a form of love for the region. He also greatly appreciated the Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency as the organizer and the parties who supported the implementation of this healthy walk.
"Hopefully, through this activity, we can build a sense of joy, happiness, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, togetherness and solidarity in providing the best for our beloved Malang City, especially through the use of existing tax funds for development," said Sutiaji.
This activity is also one of the socialization efforts to present and introduce taxes in a different way so that it can be more accepted by the community. "With events like this, the community will be more aware that taxation is an inseparable part of them. And the most important thing is to increase the sense of belonging," he added.
If the community feels that they own it, then the community will care and play an active role in supporting the implementation of various development programs in Malang City through taxation.
"I would also like to express my gratitude to all the people of Malang City who have actively participated in supporting the implementation of various development programs, including paying land and building tax (PBB) and other regional taxes before the deadline. We realize that the development of Malang City cannot be separated from regional income sources, one of which is from the tax sector, including land and building tax," he explained.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang and the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP and their entourage also reviewed the Menu Creation Competition held by the Malang City Agriculture and Resilience Service.
Various creative food menus were also presented at the event by TP PKK Kelurahan throughout Malang City. With the title "Let's Eat Healthy B2SA (Varied, Balanced Nutrition and Safe), the event also aims to provide alternative foods other than rice in order to maintain food security in Malang City.
