Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The proud achievement made by Kakang Mbakyu Cilik of Malang City who participated in the 20th Majapahit International Travel Fair has succeeded in bringing a good name to this City of Education and at the same time proving that Malang City is indeed worthy of the title of Tourist City and Child-Friendly City.

Pakandayu Team under the auspices of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office reported that a number of names participating in the event managed to win satisfactory results. Eight children out of 12 children who participated in the selection managed to enter as finalists.
Among them is Kakang Gerald (Kakang Cilik Malang City 2019) who successfully emerged as the Champion of Raka Cilik East Java 2019. Kakang Gerald's achievement was the first time and recorded history as Kakang Cilik from Malang City who became Raka Cilik East Java.
In addition, Brother Daniel (Little Brother of Malang City 2017) successfully entered as Deputy 2 of the Little Raka of East Java 2019 and Mbakyu Ratu (Little Mbakyu of Malang City 2019) as Deputy 2 of the Little Raki of East Java 2019
Several other names such as Mbakyu Reva, Mbakyu Vania, Mbakyu Ella, Kakang Danish and Kakang Archie as the Top 15 Finalists of the 2019 East Java Raka Raki Cilik.
Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office, Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si said that this achievement is a source of pride and makes Malang City proud. "As a new generation from Malang City, these Raka-Raki Cilik are able to prove that they are not only successful at the city level, but also at the provincial level," said Ida, Sunday (5/5/2019)
Malang City, which was named a Child-Friendly City, provides space and facilities for children, especially those who are active in the Kakang-Mbakyu Cilik activities to continue to develop their talents well. "Even in that event, Kakang Cilik from Malang became the first Raka Cilik in East Java, this is quite proud," he said.
Malang City Government hopes that this achievement can be maintained and can be an example for the younger generation to continue to develop interests and talents, especially in the fields of tourism and culture. (hms/yon)
