Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The readiness of the Malang City Regional Slaughterhouse (RPH) Company in meeting the availability of halal meat during the holy month of Ramadan and welcoming Eid al-Fitr was directly highlighted by the legislative body.

As seen on Tuesday (7/5) afternoon, the group of Commission B of the Malang City DPRD conducted a surprise inspection at the Malang City RPH Office, Jl. Kol. Sugiono No. 176 Malang. In the audience session, the Commission B of the Malang City DPRD emphasized the importance of the RPH fulfilling the stock of meat that meets the Safe, Healthy, Whole & Halal (ASUH) classification.
"So this must be a serious concern for the RPH. Starting from the cutting stage until the meat distributed to the market must meet the classification. Likewise, its availability until Lebaran must be safe," said Commission B member, H. Lookh Mahfudz, SS.
The opinion was agreed by other members, namely Musolli SH. Even Commission B of the Malang City DPRD supports PD RPH to start a business as a meat distributor starting from the beginning of Ramadhan 1440 H this time.
The plan to transform RPH into Perumda Tugu Aneka Usaha was also not left out of the discussion. The Council hopes that RPH under the command of Acting Director Ir. H. Ade Herawanto, MT can fix the organizational structure, improve performance and continue to build innovation.
"So that what is still lacking at this time can be immediately fixed, so that the fulfillment of supply and service to the community can run well. In the future, with the addition of work units, the foundation is already strong," continued Musolli.
Following up on these proposals, Acting Director of PD RPH Malang City Ir. H. Ade Herawanto MT called for his readiness. Not long ago, Ade and all his staff had conducted a joint inspection of traditional markets, o which sells processed meat products as well as modern markets or supermarkets as well as socializing Circular Letter of Law No. 18 of 2009 concerning Animal Husbandry and Health, Article 61, namely the rules regarding the slaughtering/slaughter of animals to all hotel, restaurant and catering managers.
The former Head of Public Relations of Malang City Government emphasized that his party strongly supports halal certification to be implemented by all slaughterers in Malang City. This is in accordance with the direction of the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji in a gathering with slaughterers and employees of PD RPH Malang City at Malang City Hall some time ago.

For your information, RPH has also obtained halal certification from the East Java MUI and also has a Veterinary Control Number (NKV). Therefore, RPH also supports the government's program to develop Indonesian halal tourism in Malang City.
In order to initiate the strategic steps that have been prepared through time schedule action plan, feasibility study and pre design various business plans, Ade revealed that intensification and extensification efforts will be carried out as soon as possible. Including matters of arranging and adding human resources, legal mechanisms and operational standards of PD RPH or in the future becoming Perumda Tugu Aneka Usaha.

He called for tactical steps related to the arrangement and addition of human resources, legal mechanisms and operational standards to make PD RPH's performance more optimal.
