Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that the New Student Admissions (PPDB) with the zoning system is an educational paradigm that is in accordance with the 1945 Constitution. This is because the constitution states that equalizing education is a state task, including the local government.

"The central government's tasks delegated to local governments are education, health and infrastructure. Therefore, equality in the field of education through this zoning system is in accordance with the constitution," said Sutiaji when giving directions regarding PPDB to the Principal, KONI, DKPM and related OPDs at the Malang City Education Office, Friday (10/5).
He explained that equalizing education through the zoning system is not only in the field of educational infrastructure, but also the quality of education.
"This means that not all schools receive subsidies but only one or two schools advance. The nine-year compulsory education must be fulfilled in maximum service standards," he explained again.
In addition, Sutiaji hopes that equalizing education through this zoning system will also have a positive impact on social issues such as reducing traffic jams, to good economic distribution. "This socialization is carried out so that we can understand well what the zoning system is," he said.
The Mayor of Malang also advised various parties, both teachers and those involved in the world of education to work professionally, namely working well, systematically and accountably. "Malang is a barometer of education, hopefully the world of education will continue to develop," he concluded. (hms/yon)
