Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service held a Work Skills Development and Training activity for Workers and the Community as Prospective New Entrepreneurs through Wood Waste Utilization Skills at the Pelangi Hotel, Monday (20/5).
This activity was opened by the Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Business Service of Malang City, Dra. Tri Widyani Pangestuti, M.Si and invited experienced speakers including Dra. Retno Hastuti (owner G54 woodcraft), as well as Indah Dewi and Irfan Fatoni from the Business Clinic of the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service of Malang City.
Tri Widyani said that the Malang City Government is very serious about helping micro-enterprises in Malang City to progress and develop.
"Currently, the potential for the wood craft market is very open, with the presence of quality speakers in this activity, we hope that it can further increase the participants' insight," hoped Yani, as Tri Widyani is familiarly called, Monday (20/5).
Yani said that participants will not only become more skilled at making crafts from used wood after participating in this training, but more than that, the participants' market network will also grow.
"Having a large network is very important for micro entrepreneurs. For example, when getting a large number of orders, of course it cannot be done alone," explained Yani.
Meanwhile, the head of the event committee, Drs. Wahyu Widodo, revealed that the training activity would be held in two stages. The first stage was held on Monday (20/5) to Wednesday (22/5), while the second stage was held starting on May 23, 2019.
"The activity was attended by 140 people, so that the training could run optimally, we divided it into two waves," explained Wahyu.
The existence of this training is very important to help business actors in Malang City to develop further and be able to face competition. (cah/yon)
