Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – If you want to achieve success, it can't be instant, but it requires a process. Perseverance, patience and continuous innovation are the keys to achieving success. That is what Retno Hastuty, owner of the GS 4 business, emphasized. Woodcrafter while sharing knowledge with participants in the used wood craft skills training held by the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service at the Pelangi Hotel, Tuesday (21/5).

Getting direct motivation from Retno, the wood training participants seemed increasingly enthusiastic in following the training. Even though they were fasting, the participants seemed very patient in going through each process of making the craft.
Before her business became as big as it is today, Retno said that she also started it from scratch. The GS4 Woodcrafter business that she developed was inseparable from the existing opportunities, namely the large amount of used wood that was thrown away because it could not be used for furniture.
"It just so happens that my husband is good at designing, I'm in charge of production, so our business is slow but running with certainty," explained Retno, Tuesday (21/5).
By always diligently fulfilling customer demand and continuing to innovate with the latest products, Retno said that no matter how tough the competition is, it can be passed without being felt. Especially now with the increasingly advanced technology, marketing and product introduction can be done faster.
Regarding the name GS4 woodcrafter itself, Retno said it has its own meaning because this wood business from used wood is made in her house on Jl. Gondosuli No. 4, Lowokwaru Village, Malang City.
"Initially, we only produced a few items, and now we have produced more than 50 different types of wood waste products," said Retno.
Retno said that she was very happy because she could share knowledge with prospective entrepreneurs who use wood waste as their basic material. Because currently the market for crafts from used wood is still very open, it's just a matter of how to process and read the market. (cah/yon)
