Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak launched five new programs at the Grahadi State Building in Surabaya, Monday (27/5/2019). Khofifah and Emil were simultaneously on stage and inaugurated the five new programs by hitting a fairly large virtual gong.

The five programs are Millennial Job Center (MJC), East Java Super Corridor (EJSC), East Java Big Data Initiative, East Java Innovative Economic Router (Easier) and the Jatim Cettar application (Fast, Effective, Efficient, Responsive, Transparent). "Bismillah, I inaugurate this new program for East Java residents," said Khofifah.
Khofifah expressed her gratitude to those who helped in the effort to realize the MJC program right before her 99th working day. "So I thank those who have helped in realizing it. I certainly want to mention one by one but this short time allows me to say thank you," she said.
Khofifah added that all of the leading programs will be a lever to accelerate the welfare of East Java residents. The former Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs said that MJC is a forum that will provide space for young people to develop their talents, especially in the professional fields needed in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.
“We think that skill "It's not enough, but we have to create an ecosystem. Moreover, young people today also have special jobs that must be accommodated specifically," explained Khofifah.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of East Java Emil E. Dardak said that since February the government has been working with academics such as ITS to create Big Data that will be used as a benchmark in leading East Java. The MJC program will run well if it gets support and cooperation from parties in the regions, in this case the regional heads.
"So, we launched this program with the hope that all regional heads will participate. support. Because it's useless if there isn't any support and good cooperation with the provincial government," said Emil.
