(malangkota.go.id) – After running for approximately one month, the 2019 Pertamina Ramadhan and Eid Task Force (RAFI) has ended. Since it began on May 21, 2019, the RAFI Task Force has served the energy needs of the community, both for transportation and cooking needs.

"We are grateful for the performance of the 2019 RAFI Task Force energy fighters in MOR V who are compact, working together, ensuring that energy can be enjoyed by the community during the task force period. Of course there are still things that need to be evaluated and improved, but we are also proud of what has been achieved," said Rustam Aji, Unit Manager Communication & CSR MOR V.
Rustam stated that overall consumption of Gasoline fuel in East Java during the task force period increased by 16 percent from a daily average of around 12.900 KL to 15.000 KL. The highest increase in Gasoline occurred in Pertamax by 27 percent, followed by Pertamax Turbo 20 percent, and Premium 17 percent and Pertalite 13 percent.
"This shows that many people have chosen high-quality fuel with high RON, because it supports vehicle performance to remain prime during the homecoming trip. We express our appreciation to consumers who have chosen Pertamina's quality products," said Rustam.
Meanwhile, for the Gasoil type, Rustam said it experienced a decline of up to 4 percent because many industries stopped operating their vehicles during the homecoming period. However, Dex consumption consumed by private vehicles continued to increase by 17 percent.
"In addition to Gasoil, Avtur consumption at DPPU Juanda during the task force period also experienced a decline, 11 percent below the normal daily average," said Rustam.
Under normal conditions, the daily average of Avtur which is around 970 KL becomes 865 KL. "However, during the peak of homecoming, in Juanda there was an increase in Avtur sales of 22 percent on May 30, 2019. On that day Avtur distribution reached 1.180 KL," added Rustam.
In addition to fuel services, Pertamina also noted an increase in the distribution of PSO LPG in East Java during the task force period, which increased by 7 percent compared to the average normal conditions. Under normal conditions, the distribution of 3kg LPG in East Java is 3.780 MT or around 1,26 million cylinders per day.
"The increase in distribution of 3kg LPG in East Java occurred on D-2 of Eid, with the distribution equivalent to 1,5 million 3kg cylinders, up 21 percent from normal," he added.
Since May, Pertamina MOR V has made optional additions to meet the community's LPG needs during fasting. Likewise in June, Pertamina has distributed more than usual in anticipation of the homecoming tradition, and also Lebaran Ketupat in several regions. Although the distribution of some products has increased, the stock of BBM, Avtur, and LPG is still monitored as safe.
"We would like to thank all parties for their support so that energy services during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr run smoothly. If the public needs more detailed information or wants to provide input, they can contact the Pertamina Call Center at 135," Rustam concluded. (say/yon)
