Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The economic growth of Malang City in 2018 grew by 5,72 percent, while in 2016-2017 it was 5,69 percent. This shows a good trend so that economic growth in 2019 is indicated to continue to improve.
Economic growth is an increase in the scale of economic activities that provide greater added value in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. This was conveyed by the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Malang City, Sunaryo, Tuesday (02/07/2019).
Growth and share Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) the highest according to business sector in 2018, the highest growth in corporate services at 7,84 percent, health services at 7,32 percent and real estate at 7,01 percent.
"Meanwhile, the highest contribution in the trade sector was 29,91 percent, industry 25,38 percent and construction 12,73 percent," added Sunaryo.
He further said that the sources of GRDP according to business fields from 2014-2018 included wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repairs as the highest sources of growth.
In order for economic growth in Malang City in 2019 to realize a better trend, Sunaryo said that several sectors above must be boosted. (say/yon)
