Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Colorful Brantas River Festival initiated by the Department of Culture and Tourism (Malang City) was held for two days, August 3 – August 4, 2019 in Kampung Tridi and Kampung Warna Warni.
On the first day, Saturday (3/8/2019), the activity was held in Kampung Tridi by presenting the arts of jaranan and kuda lumping. While on the second day, Sunday (4/8/2019) the activity was held in Kampung Tridi with a batik learning event and in Kampung Warna Warni with an acoustic music event.
In addition, Secretary of Pokdaris Kampung Tridi Nuryanto revealed many other activities that were carried out. Among others, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), UMKM Bazaar, coloring competition, and also art performances.
"We hope that the many activities in Kampung Tridi, Kampung Warna Warni, and thematic villages along the Brantas River can increase the number of visitors (tourists)," Nuryanto hoped, Saturday (3/8).
Nuryanto added, in addition to Kampung Tridi and Kampung Warna Warni, in this Kali Brantas Berwarna Festival visitors are also taken to various thematic villages in Malang City. Among them are Ceramic Village, Pottery Village, Blue Village, White Village, and Lantern Village.
"We also held FGDs to get input on how to advance villages in Malang City so that in the future they will bring more benefits," he added.
With all the potential that Malang City has, Nuryanto said many things can be explored and developed. Including bringing up tourism icons such as culinary, crafts and various other creativity to make it more interesting so that many people visit. (cah/yon)
