Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Malang City is running a house renovation program for underprivileged people in the Malang City area. In accordance with the instructions and directions of the Mayor of Malang, Baznas Malang City will carry out a house renovation program for two houses each month.
Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Saturday morning (3/8/2019) directly reviewed two renovated houses in the Kebonsari and Bandungrejosari Sub-districts, Sukun District, Malang City.
Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi explained that the two houses were renovated using non-APBD funds, namely from charity and zakat funds submitted by State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Malang City Government to the Malang City Baznas to be distributed to the underprivileged community.
"This house renovation program is also one of our efforts to make the poverty alleviation program in Malang City a success. In addition to making the residents' houses more livable, we also hope that their health levels will improve because their daily lives will be more comfortable," he explained further.
Sofyan Edi also advised that existing regional apparatus also participate in encouraging the community to continue to work together and jointly help residents in their surroundings who are experiencing difficulties.
"Through mutual cooperation and a sense of togetherness that we continue to build, I am sure that the poverty alleviation program will be successfully implemented," he said confidently.
The two renovated houses are Ismail's residence on Jl. Kebonsari Gang 1 Number 28 Sukun District which is currently under construction. While another house belongs to Kartono, a resident of Jl. Kepuh VII RT 05 RW 05 Bandungrejosari Village which is almost finished. (Ts/yon)
