Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to welcome the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day in 2019, Monday (5/8/2019) the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji took the time to directly review the readiness of the Gajayana Stadium in Malang which is planned to be the location for the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on 17 August 2019.
"Today I deliberately took the time to directly review the readiness of the Gajayana Stadium for the celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony," said Sutiaji, Monday (5/8/2019).
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang was accompanied by the Head of General Affairs of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, the Head of Public Relations of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, and the Secretary of the Malang City Youth and Sports Office.
Sutiaji said that various details of the ceremony's readiness must continue to be considered because this is the first time the Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony has been held again at Gajayana Stadium. "There will be approximately 20 thousand pairs of eyes who will attend and follow the ceremony, so I want to minimize mistakes in the implementation," he explained.
He also said that it is important for all elements involved in the activity to always coordinate and communicate matters related to readiness before the event takes place. "Hopefully if there are problems, they can be detected early and can be resolved properly," he added.
The Mayor of Malang also took the time to see and provide direction and motivation to the students who are members of Paskibraka (Heirloom Flag Raising Troops) who will also be on duty.
In between Paskibraka training, Sutiaji advised them to maintain good health and mental condition. According to him, during the ceremony later they are required to focus so they can carry out their duties well.
"Because honestly, during the implementation of the Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony, the Red and White Flag Raising Troops will be the sole focus of the participants and even the audience who attend the event, so it is important for those on duty to stay focused and continue to practice," he said.
Gajayana Stadium is planned to be the location for the Commemoration Ceremony of the 74th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia and the Flag Lowering Ceremony to Commemorate the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
The Mayor of Malang is planned to be the Inspector of Ceremonies at the implementation of the Commemoration Ceremony of the 74th Independence Proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia on the morning of August 17, 2019. (Ts/yon)
