Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City Police wins award Public Service of the Year 2019 East Java in Indonesia Marketers Festival the 7th held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya, Thursday (8/8/2019).

Of the 39 police stations in the jurisdiction of the East Java Regional Police, only the Malang City Police, Sidoarjo City Police and Gresik Police received awards from Hermawan Kartajaya, founder of Mark Plus Inc.
Malang City Police Chief, AKBP Asfuri, SIK, MH received the award directly from the Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak. Makota Police is considered successful in providing contemporary and adaptive public services to the development of industry 4.0.
Polres Makota won this award after successfully running three public service programs, namely, Panic Button, RW Police and Bakso Makota. Panic Button is a flash complaint service program when the public faces an emergency situation.
RW Police is a police program that builds direct networks with the community down to the RW level. Meanwhile, Bakso Makota stands for Visiting Family Members Online Makota.
Deputy Governor Emil said that government institutions such as the Malang City Police are able to capture the changes of the times, take advantage of technological disruption and create public services based on technological advances.
"I am pleased that many government institutions have applications that are known to the public, whose services are good in the eyes of the public. Success like this deserves to be appreciated and continuously improved, so that it will provide comfort and security for the public," he added.
Meanwhile, Hermawan Kartajaya said, only the public in this case the marketing community can appreciate the performance of the government and its institutions. "Every year we hold awards, and if we don't care, who else will," he said.
Meanwhile, the Malang City Police Chief, AKBP Asfuri SIK, hopes that this award will further encourage members of the Malang City Police in protecting the community.
"Because the indicator of Polri's success is public trust. Hopefully with this award, Polres Makota members will be more motivated in improving services to the public," he hoped. (say/yon)
