Tri Widyani Pangestuti, M.Si and the Head of Public Relations of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Muhammad Nur Widianto, S.Sos attended the opening of the DiLo Hackathon Festival 2019, Saturday (24/8/2019).

The 2019 DiLo Hackathon Festival was held for two days, starting from Saturday (24/8/2019) to Sunday (25/8/2019) at the Digital Lounge (DiLo) Jl. Basuki Rahmad no. 7 – 9 Malang.
Hacking and marathon are two phrases that give rise to the term Hackathon. Hackathon is a time when students, educators, technology enthusiasts, IT enthusiasts, and technology industry practitioners gather to build websites, applications, games, Internet of Things (hacking) that are solutions to certain problems.
The creation of this application was carried out at a hackathon location in a very short time, namely 12-48 hours, aka marathon.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang provided motivation to the 17 teams participating in the 2019 DiLo Hackathon Festival. He hopes that the applications produced by the participants can be used to encourage development in Malang City, including also supporting Malang City as a Smart City.
In 2020, Malang City wants to become a Digital City. Through the Malang Digital Creative City program that has been running for the past year, the Malang City Government has taken various progressive and innovative steps.
"Therefore, this activity is considered quite positive in order to produce new seeds of the young generation who are skilled at making digital applications," explained Sutiaji.
He also said that currently we are required to be able to carry out various activities on a digital basis in order to welcome the industrial era 4.0.
Not only that, as a citizen of Malang City, Sutiaji said that we must also participate in realizing the Malang 4.0 program where in 2019 the economic growth of Malang City reached 5,72 percent with a Human Development Index (HDI) of 80,3 percent. With a population of 904.346 people, Malang will continue to try to familiarize its people with industry 4.0.
Sutiaji revealed that Higher Education, Skills and Training Institutions, HR Capacity Building Programs in government, formal education curriculum are pushed towards creating a generation of HR that has character as well as creative skills. (Ts)
