Inotek Malang City 2019 Award and Exhibition

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government appreciates a number of innovators who have participated in the 2019 Malang City Technology Innovation Competition (Inotek). As the peak of the event, the 2019 Malang City Inotek Award Night & Exhibition was held at the Savana Hotel & Convention, Thursday (29/08/2019).

The event, which was packaged in a 90s style, was attended by the Mayor of Malang, Deputy Mayor of Malang, Regional Secretary of Malang City, Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Head of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Malang City Government, university rectors, the jury, and innovators participating in the 2019 Inotek Competition.

The 2019 Malang City Technology Innovation Competition is an annual agenda of the Malang City Planning, Research and Development Agency (Barenlitbang). This competition is held to provide recognition, appreciation and motivation for the efforts made by the community in advancing research, development and application of science and technology as well as the discovery of technological innovations, especially in the Malang City area.

The competition is divided into four categories, including Agribusiness, Energy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Health & Environment. The implementation of the Inotek competition in Malang City has been ongoing since 2016.

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the holding of the 2019 Malang City Technology Innovation Awards Night & Exhibition.

"I appreciate and I say thank you. From year to year, Inotek's participants are getting better, more innovations are coming in," he said.

Sutiaji also hopes that the innovations shown in the 2019 Technology Innovation exhibition can be perfected.

"After going through the refinement process, there will be value in terms of benefits for the innovators themselves and the products produced can be utilized in the regions. "We will take it to a higher level, such as the national level," he added.

The winner of the 2019 Inotek competition, namely, first place in the Agribusiness category was won by the Logan Rice team. (Low Glycemic and High Nutrition Analog Rice) Innovation of nutritious and low glycemic analog rice based on ganyong, spinach, and tiwul as food diversification in Indonesia.

First place in the Energy category was won by the Microbubble Technology team. consortium molasses medium biosurfactant-producing bacteria. Meanwhile, the first place winner in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) category was won by the Dataproyek.id team, and the first place winner in the Health & Environment category was won by the DERATION team Innovation in Tanning Liquid Waste Processing with the Deep Aeration Method as an Effort to Create Environmentally Safe Waste.

Nanda Kurniawan Mandala, the group leader of the winning team in the Health and Environment category, hopes that innovators need to apply their innovations for the benefit of society and that more people will participate in the IoT competition in the following years.

"The hope for the government is to be able tosupport, both in facilities and costs. One form of support-it can be in the form of an award ceremony like this," he added. (rf/yon)
