Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko opened a painting exhibition entitled Art Uniting Togetherness which was held at the Ijen Suites Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (5/9/2019).
Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi Jarwoko welcomed the painting exhibition held by Asta Cita Perupa Malang. This exhibition provides a lot of inspiration to achieve success that cannot be done alone, but requires togetherness.
"The collaboration of artists, Hotel Ijen Suites and all parties in realizing this activity is very positive. The spirit of togetherness in building art and culture is an extraordinary capital," said Sofyan Edi, Thursday (5/9/2019).
"Art and culture are great riches, therefore I am very grateful that today there is a collaboration in Malang City that synergizes to realize an art exhibition at the Ijen Suites Hotel," he added.
The same thing was conveyed by the General Manager of Ijen Suites Hotel Suyitno who welcomed this activity. According to him, this activity is a form of appreciation from Ijen Suites to artists in Malang to show their extraordinary works.
"By continuing to expose the various artistic riches of artists in Malang, we want to participate in enlivening the art world in Malang. Where for hotels, art is an important element to be able to support the tourism world in Malang City," explained Suyitno.
Meanwhile, the head of the exhibition organizer, Bambang Randika Santoso, said that the exhibition at the Ijen Suites Hotel was held for two weeks, from September 5 to 20, 2019, attended by 19 painters with various themes and works.
"We are very grateful for the support of various parties who sincerely supported this activity so that it was a success," explained Simbah, Bambang's nickname.
Simbah added, this exhibition is the peak of the creativity of artists in Malang so it is expected to bring many benefits and advance the name of Malang in the field of art. This activity is expected to be an inspiration to continue collaborating to advance Malang.
Some of the painters who exhibited their works in this exhibition include Suyitnyo with the painting Remong, Suderi with the painting of the dialogue between the student and the puppeteer. Dominique Tan with the painting People Help People, Evi Sri Andamari's work Mawar, Andi Harisman with The Splash Emotion, Alex Sambodo with the painting Pasar Bunga. (cah/yon)
