Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City is one of the cities in Indonesia that is used as a pilot area by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in terms of eradicating and preventing corruption. On the other hand, this city has great potential in various sectors, such as in education and in terms of boosting local revenue (PAD).

In relation to this, the KPK is ready to assist and accompany the City of Malang to explore various potentials that can later become and increase PAD. So in this context, the KPK will not only be active in terms of action and prevention, but also in assistance.
These are some of the things conveyed by Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Laode Muhammad Syarif, Friday (06/09/2019) during the 2019 KPK Bus Roadshow "Exploring the Country to Build Anti-Corruption" which was held in the Malang City Hall area.
According to him, the tax and licensing sector in Malang City is very large. "If regional income is large, then the community and its officials will prosper, so that it will automatically prevent corruption," added Laode.
In relation to this, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, welcomed what the KPK will initiate and his party will continue to strengthen efforts to prevent corruption, as well as literacy for ASN and the community.
Concretely, ASN must work and provide optimal service to the community and not accept gratification in any form, because gratification is one of the triggers for corruption.
In the near future, the Malang City Government will form a gratification management unit and this program is in line with what was initiated by the KPK in terms of preventing corruption. So that in the future, the PAD of Malang City which is predicted to be Rp1,5 trillion per year can reach three trillion and even five trillion per year.
"We are optimistic that all of that can be realized well if all elements of society have the same vision as the Malang City Government. On the other hand, there must also be control, such as the media, so that everything can run according to target. Although slowly, in the future Malang City will realize the program, so support from various parties is needed," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
