Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In the series of the 2019 KPK Bus Roadshow, Exploring the Country to Build Anti-Corruption which stopped in Malang City, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia provided special training for teachers. Pancasila and civic education (PPKn). Through the activity held in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Saturday (07/09/2019), it is hoped that PPKn teachers can understand and pass on the knowledge they have gained to their students.
This corruption prevention education can be included in every subject, but the most effective is through the PPKn subject. The three stages or materials presented are related to the initiative to design, include students and prepare networks so that the understanding of corruption is more comprehensive.
Those are some of the things conveyed by the Head of the KPK Elementary and Secondary Education Team, Dani Rustandi. In addition to that, according to Dani, teachers are also equipped with an understanding of the KPK institution, such as what the KPK is, the duties and responsibilities of the KPK and how to access or relate to the KPK.
In this context, what needs to be emphasized is that the KPK does not only make arrests and prosecute cases, but also focuses on prevention. "Because public understanding of the KPK has so far been minimal and the KPK seems like a scary institution," he explained.
The follow-up to this briefing, explained Dani, will be synergized with the regional regulations of Malang City which can later be through a regional regulation or mayoral regulation. "So that when teachers will implement the rules, they are ready, because they have received basic briefing from the KPK," he added.
This activity is very useful for teachers so that prevention of corruption can be done early on. As conveyed by the PPKn teacher of MTsN 1 Malang City, Ira Kristina. According to this woman in a hijab, in addition to gaining new knowledge, later as a teacher she will be more prepared when explaining various things related to the KPK to her students. (say/yon)
