Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The National Healthy City Verification Team visited Malang City. The verification team was received at the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, Monday (9/9/2019).

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji in his speech expressed Malang City's optimism to achieve more achievements.
Sutiaji said that Malang City has a high commitment to making this city more comfortable to live in.
With all its potential, the city known as the City of Education continues to improve from day to day to be better. "Malang City currently has the first ranking as a city that is a destination for education," explained Sutiaji, Monday (9/9).
This proves that Malang City is an attractive and comfortable city as a place to study for various communities in Indonesia and even the world. This city also continues to promote the spirit of 10-0-100 development in order to overcome slums.
From the original 608 hectares of slum areas in Malang City, in 2018 only 100 hectares remained. By continuing to be handled sustainably, it is hoped that by 2020 Malang City will be free from slum areas.
"We have budgeted to overcome slums in Malang City. In 2020 we hope everything will be finished," he hoped.
Not only that, for clean water services in Malang City has now reached 93 percent of the total population in Malang City. This year it is also expected that all people of Malang City can enjoy clean water services.
Through cooperation between PDAM, Health Office, and Satpol PP, it is hoped that this year Malang City can be better in various fields including health and public services. Therefore, Malang City's entry into this national level healthy competition is something to be grateful for.
"In the urban village competition, Malang City has been the champion seven times in a row. I hope that in this national level healthy competition, Malang City will again achieve the best," he said.
Meanwhile, the National Healthy City Competition verification team, Endang Widiastuti, revealed that for document requirements, Malang City has fulfilled 90 percent of them.
"By coming directly to this city we want to see for real whether what is in the document is like the reality on the ground," explained Endang. (cah/yon)
