Malang City Attends ICF 2019 in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan – The Malang City Representative Group attended and participated in the 4th Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF) held by the Indonesian Embassy in Azerbaijan in Baku City, Azerbaijan on 10-15 September 2019.

The departure of the group was in order to introduce Indonesian arts and culture and establish economic cooperation in the form of trade contracts between the two countries and/or with other countries visiting the event.

The group consisting of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service, the Malang City Communication and Information Service and Malang City fashion entrepreneurs Trya Febiane and Heny Martina were received by the Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Prof. DR. H. Husnan Bey Fanani, MA and had a teleconference with the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji via video conference facilities, Friday (13/9/2019).

ICF 2019 is predicted to be more lively because it will be held in two different places in Baku City, namely HeydarAliyevSarayi which is a prestigious place in Baku city and FountainSquare, an outdoor shopping center that is always crowded with Azerbaijani people.

The Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF) is the largest annual event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The ICF 2019 series of events consists of cultural performances, such as music, dance, and Indonesian Pencak Silat martial arts and business meetings.

In addition, there will be stands that showcase the superiority of local Indonesian UMKM products, Indonesian tourism, and in the same series of events, several activities will be held, including an exhibition of Indonesian tourism information, visits and cooperation between educational institutions, seminars, performances of traditional Indonesian dance and music, and others.

ICF has been held for the fourth time in Azerbaijan, especially in the Caspian region. The first ICF was held in 2016 and received an extraordinary welcome from the people of Azerbaijan. Then the second ICF in 2017 was also attended by around 3500 visitors in 2 days of the show, and ICF 2018 was also attended by hundreds of Indonesian and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs. *
