Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Oath-taking of the Leadership of the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the 2019-2024 term was held in the Malang City DPRD Meeting Room, Monday (23/9/2019) led by the Chairman of the Malang District Court, Nuruli Mahdilis, SH, MH.
The four leaders of the Malang City DPRD who took the oath were the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD I Made Rian Diana Kartika, Deputy I H. Abdurrahman, Deputy II H. Asmualik and Deputy III Rimzah.
I Made Rian Diana Kartika as the elected chairman of the DPRD for the 2019-2024 period expressed that he would restore the dignity of the parliament that he currently leads. According to him, if trust decreases, the members of the council will not be able to work optimally. Made admitted that he would work harder and more transparently, especially in matters concerning the budget.
Thus, these people's representatives will not fall into the same hole for the second time. "In addition to the executive, we will also embrace the media to continue to control, provide advice and criticism of the DPRD's performance. The prosperity and welfare of the people will be a priority program so that public trust is restored," he added.
Made also admitted that he would synergize with the executive in realizing pro-people programs. "Our closest agenda is to compile the council's equipment, namely four bodies and four commissions, the 2020 RAPBD and four regional regulations that must be discussed immediately," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, advised the newly inaugurated leaders of the Malang City DPRD to show their real performance, so that it will have a positive impact on the welfare of the people.
"There is still a lot of homework to be done, especially the regional regulations and the completion of a number of traditional market developments," he said. (say/yon)
