Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Gala Dinner for the 2019 Energy Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) which is Annual routine agenda of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Research and Higher Education held at Malang City Hall, Tuesday (24/9/2019).
The gala dinner was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Regional Secretary of Malang City Wasto, SH, MH, as well as leaders and participants from universities throughout Indonesia.
In his speech, Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi expressed his gratitude for the selection of Malang City as the location for the event. "This further shows that Malang City is indeed worthy of being crowned as a creative city," said Sofyan Edi.
The man who is often called Bung Edi also hopes that students who study in Malang City can continue to innovate and be creative, especially in the energy sector.
As we all know, Bung Edi said that currently energy-efficient cars that are also environmentally friendly are very much needed along with the development of the times. The aging earth demands us to continue to be aware and care about our environment for the survival of future generations.
"In addition, through these activities, friendship and communication between participants can continue to be established so that they can increase the knowledge of each participant," he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor 3 of Malang State University, DR. Muarifin, M.Pd explained that the energy-efficient car contest held in Malang City is a forum to hone students' creativity.
"They are given the opportunity to apply the theories and knowledge they have acquired to be realized in the form of real work," explained Muarifin. (Ts/yon)
