Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – While giving a speech at the work skills training activity held at the Pelangi Hotel, Tuesday (24/9/2019), Acting Head of the Malang City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service Dra. Tri Widyani P., M.Si revealed to the participants of the activity that Malang City's MSME products are in great demand abroad.
Tri Widyani revealed that representatives from Malang City some time ago participated in the 4th Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF) held by the Indonesian Embassy in Azerbaijan in Baku City, Azerbaijan.
"Only the first day of the exhibition, Malang City's MSME products have already sold out, Malang products are very popular with foreign buyers," said Yani, Tri Widyani's nickname, Tuesday (24/9).
Seeing the extraordinary enthusiasm, Yani also hopes that the participants of this advanced rattan creation training will be serious and absorb every training given by the experienced instructors present. According to him, the opportunities for rattan products in Malang City in the market are very wide open.
After participating in the exhibition abroad, Yani admitted that Malang City's UMKM products are getting more orders. Whether in the fashion sector or others, it depends on the UMKM's ability to meet the many requests.
"We hope that by providing the best possible training, in the future more new entrepreneurs will emerge from Malang City," Yani hopes.
One of the training participants, Mayasari, said she was very happy to be able to participate in the training activities facilitated by the Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service. She said that training like this is very important not only to improve product making skills.
"Training is also very important to help participants build and expand their networks. From trainings like this we usually get orders that we never thought of before," said Maya. (cah/yon)
