Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang inaugurated four High-Level Officials of the Malang City Government in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Monday (30/9/2019). The inauguration was carried out after the auction process for positions opened by the Malang City Government some time ago.

The four officials are Drs. Alie Mulyanto, MM as the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Malang City, Suwarjana, SE, MM as the Head of the Public Library and Regional Archives Service. Dwi Rahayu, SH, M.Hum serves as the Head of the Planning, Research, and Development Agency of Malang City, and Dra. Rinawati, MM now serves as the Head of the Environmental Service of Malang City.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, congratulated the officials who had been inaugurated. "I entrust the public's mandate to the officials who were just inaugurated today," said Sutiaji.
It was explained that the Malang City Government had gone through various stages from before conducting the job auction until the inauguration. This was done so that the job filling process could be carried out openly and could be directly monitored by the public.
"The stages are carried out in accordance with the regulations. Before the auction we coordinate with KASN," said the badminton enthusiast.
The Mayor of Malang also advised that the wheels of the regional apparatus organization after the inauguration of these officials could run more smoothly, so that several targets could be achieved.
"Not all policies issued satisfy all groups. Therefore we must minimize this, with the hope that synergy and performance can run well," he added.
On that occasion, the Mayor of Malang also conveyed a message to the inaugurated officials to be serious in handling community problems in accordance with the duties and functions inherent in the relevant OPD.
As in disaster management, the Mayor of Malang advised the Head of BPBD to be serious in carrying out his duties, because changes in climate and weather are feared to have an impact on the potential for disasters to arise. "Therefore, there needs to be good disaster management in Malang City," he said.
Not only that, as a City of Education, the people of Malang are still lacking in literacy. Therefore, the role of the Public Library and Regional Archives Service is very vital in efforts to increase awareness of reading books. "Our regional archives are also expected to be better in the future," he added,
At the Environmental Service, the Mayor of Malang advised that the waste problem be resolved properly, including raising public awareness not to litter.
"Development and regulation also require studies so that the performance of Barenlitbang is also very vital," he concluded. (hms/yon)
