Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Starting January 1, 2020, Bank Indonesia will require all non-cash payment services to use Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS). In this regard, Bank Indonesia is actively promoting the program to the public.

As seen on Monday (07/10/2019), the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office conducted QRIS socialization to mosque administrators at the Great Jami' Mosque in Malang.
Head of the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office, Azka Subhan, hopes that non-cash payments with the QRIS system will be more optimal and the public will understand better.
"Including when people want to do charity, this system is the best alternative and to further suppress indications of counterfeit money circulation," he said.
In the next few days, Azka said, signs will be installed in a number of mosques. Barcode which is attached to the charity box. With this system, the alms given by residents will go directly into the mosque administrator's account. "Even when giving alms, residents will not be charged a single cent in transaction fees," he continued.
This modern charity or alms program was also welcomed positively by the mosque administrators. As conveyed by the chairman of the Jami mosque management in Malang City, Zainuddin M. Muchit, who said that this program is very good and deserves to be supported and developed.
The mosque administrators will later convey the program to the congregation. This breakthrough will also make it easier for mosque administrators and residents who want to do charity, because it is more effective and efficient. (say/yon)
