By carrying the theme "Towards Brilliant SMEs: Creative - Innovative - Competitive", it is hoped that Indonesian SMEs with high competitiveness will appear confident in facing increasingly competitive competition at the national and global levels.

"It is no longer the time for us to only compete domestically, especially in terms of entrepreneurship. We must have the will, determination, and innovation to be able to compete internationally," said Founder & Chairman of MarkPlus, Inc. who is also Chairman of ICSB Indonesia Hermawan Kartajaya.

This year's Galang UKM event was held in Bogor on Tuesday, October 7, 2019 and was the 10th city in 2019 after previously being held in Mataram on Thursday, October 3, 2019. The roadshow in 25 cities and districts, Galang UKM Indonesia 2019 began on September 5 in Samarinda and ended on November 25 in Banyuwangi. Specifically in Bogor, this event was named Galang UMKM Indonesia 2019 Bogor.

The Galang UKM Indonesia 2019 Bogor event consists of three main series of agendas, namely the Natamukti award and appreciation from the ICSB Indonesia Presidential Award for parties who support and contribute positively to the progress of UKM in Indonesia, UKM seminars, seminars to increase the insight of UKM actors, and the UKM Brilian exhibition and curation, namely the exhibition & selection session for UKM actors in each city to obtain the predicate of UKM BRILIAN 2019.

In this event, regional heads and SMEs were present to share their knowledge with the community. In addition to Hermawan, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya, Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Rully Indrawan and Jacky Mussry, Chairman of ICSB (International Council for Small Business) Indonesia were present.

And to help regional heads to continue to spur their MSMEs to grow, Hermawan Kartajaya together with ICSB Indonesia since three years ago introduced the Natamukti Award. This award is an appreciation for regions that are considered successful in advancing their MSMEs.

The award is divided into three categories. Natamukti is given to cities and/or districts that have succeeded in promoting local MSMEs, encouraging improvements in the quality of local MSME products, and building an MSME ecosystem in their area.

There is also Natamukti Ganapravara. This award is given to the winners of Natamukti Nindya in previous years who continue to show good performance in the following year. Or in other words, they are those who have won Natamukti Nindya and until now continue to show positive performance in advancing MSMEs in their regions.

Natamukti Nindya itself is the highest award from Natamukti. The city or district that receives Natamukti Nindya is the best of the best of all Natamukti recipients.

The determination of the recipients of the Natamukti Award was carried out through a long process. Starting from research conducted by the ICSB team from various regions, which was then verified in the field by the ICSB expert team referring to the Natamukti Model, namely how to develop Trusted, Advanced, and Organized MSMEs.
