Head of Sub-Directorate for Digital Economy Ecosystem Development of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Luat Sihombing, S.Kom revealed that the use of electronic money can no longer be contained. In countries like China, non-cash transactions have become a daily occurrence.
He revealed that the use of digital/electronic money is more convenient and efficient. "In non-cash transactions, there is no need for change, there is a smaller risk of contracting diseases, and it is preferred by young people," he explained.
Another benefit, said Luat Sihombing, is that with non-cash transactions... financial records will be well documented and can be mopen access to capital or funding, because it has a documented transaction history (P2P lending, KUR).

"We hope that with activities like this, traditional markets in Malang City will not lose buyers due to ignorance," Luat hoped.
Especially for traditional market traders who are over 40 years old who are far behind in technology and information, education must continue to be carried out. The hope is that they can continue to exist and compete amidst the rapid progress of the times.
"Everything in the future wants to be practical, including in payments and buying and selling transactions. Therefore, knowing properly how the digital transaction system works is very important," Luat emphasized.
The day before, Wednesday (9/10/2019), transaction activation activities were held at Oro-Oro Dowo Market and Klojen Market through interactive education at booths and in the market environment.
