Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Grand Final Night of the 2019 Kakang Mbakyu Tourism Ambassador Selection for Malang City held at Graha Cakrawala, State University of Malang, Saturday night (12/10/2019) was lively and amazing. Various performances such as traditional dances and performances by Kakang Mbakyu Cilik added to the excitement of the event which took the theme 'The Rising Of Millenials'.
Previously, in this event 132 participants took part in the selection which then selected 40 people as semi-finalists, which in the end selected 20 participants who went to the grand final round. After going through a number of assessments, the top 3 were selected to compete for one pair as Kakang Mbakyu Malang City 2019.
For the Third Deputy Kakang Mbakyu of Malang City was won by Maulana Dama and Delaneira Humaira, the Second Deputy Kakang Mbakyu of Malang City was won by Mohammad Ferdiyansyah and Adzra Imtiyas Asrin. Meanwhile, the First Deputy Kakang Mbakyu of Malang City went to Muhammad Alkaafi and Yonady Aprilia. Meanwhile, the 2019 Kakang Mbakyu of Malang City was won by Muhammad Iqbal Pradhana and Alif Fanharnita.
Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, MM in her speech said that the participants in 2019 increased compared to last year which was attended by 125 participants, but now it has reached 132 people. This is one proof that this event attracts the interest of young people to become Tourism Ambassadors.
Ida added, in addition to accommodating the talents and interests of young people, this event is also to promote arts and culture, tourism and more on empowering young people in the future. "Currently the Department of Culture and Tourism will be merged with the Department of Youth and Sports, so that the empowerment program will be even broader," he explained.
"As the Tourism Ambassador of Malang City, Malang City has achieved various achievements, such as being elected as the Kakang Mbakyu of Malang City in the East Java Province Tourism Ambassador Selection event, namely Raka Raki. From the network in the Paguyuban Kakang Mbakyu or Pakandayu, these Tourism Ambassadors continue to develop and forge themselves," added Ida.
Separately, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji also appreciated this event which continues to show its existence. According to him, the participants not only have advantages in terms of physical, but also have intelligence and broad insight, so they are expected to be truly capable of becoming Tourism Ambassadors.
