Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – After inviting a number of MSME actors from Malang City to Azerbaijan some time ago to take part in The 4th Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF), Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Prof. DR. H. Husnan Bey Fanani, MA visited Malang City, Monday (14/10/2019).
According to Husnan, Malang City's UMKM products have been able to penetrate and compete in the global market, especially in Azerbaijan. For example, various fruit chips and various Muslim fashion models, because the majority of the population in this country adheres to Islam.
The most important thing, he said, now is how these MSMEs can have the courage and confidence that their products are good and able to compete.
"What is no less important is that policy makers such as local governments have regulations that are on their side and can facilitate MSME actors to... Go international," added Husnan.
The bespectacled man further said that micro-economic actors are a strong supporter of the national economy, so in the future they must continue to innovate in various fields.
"Non-cooperative MSMEs only exist in Indonesia, and this Republic is very strong in this sector, therefore all parties must provide special strengthening and attention," continued Husnan.
The man from Ponorogo Regency admitted that he was ready to help and facilitate all UMKM actors from East Java, especially Malang City who want to enter Azerbaijan. "Let's prove that we can and are able to compete in the international arena," he invited.
The interest and positive encouragement from the Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan towards the actors and products of MSMEs in Malang City was welcomed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, who is committed to facilitating MSME actors, because according to him this is a very good opportunity.
"This city's MSMEs (Malang) can compete in the international market and be more advanced, so this will be a spur and trigger for others. The arrival of the Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan is no joke and is real proof that we can," concluded Sutiaji. (say/yon)
