“I never thought that my love for ancient manuscripts could become a source of life. Alhamdulillah, today received an award from the Malang City Government," explained the resident of Jl. Pajajaran No. 11 Malang.

Through this award, Syarif Oemar Said admitted that he would be more enthusiastic and continue to develop his love for books and ancient manuscripts. One day, he wants to create a good place for his collection of books and ancient manuscripts. So that it is safe for storage and well-maintained for learning.

"So far, many people have studied at our place to look for literature and ancient manuscripts. If the place can be repaired, it will certainly be more beneficial," Syarif hoped.

Syarif added, the age of ancient manuscripts and books that are very old really need extra care. It takes patience and precision in keeping them readable. (cah/ram/yon)
