Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Environmental Service (DLH) held an Environmental Management Partnership and Cooperation activity at the 2019 Shining Village at the Savana Hotel, Tuesday (29/10/2019).
At the event attended and opened by the Mayor of Malang, prizes were also awarded to the top ten of the 2019 Environmental Village Competition Towards a Shining Village, namely RW 11 Merjosari Village, RW 5 Arjowinangun Village, RW 6 Balearjosari Village, RW 2 Sawojajar Village, RW 4 Rampalcelaket Village, RW 7 Lesanpuro Village, RW 6 Arjowinangun Village, RW 9 Merjosari Village, RW 6 Tasikmadu Village and RW 3 Rampalcelaket Village.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that the award given through the Kampung Bersinar event is one of the government's efforts to promote the environmental care movement in Malang City. "This activity is also an event to synergize how to manage the environment in Malang City," explained Sutiaji, Tuesday (29/10/2019).
Sutiaji acknowledged that clean and environmentally conscious behavior is very important to continue to be promoted to all existing elements.
With this shining village competition, it is hoped that it can also be a lever to improve existing villages and in order to protect the environment.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Environmental Service, Dra. Rinawati, MM in her report explained that in this Shining Village Competition the assessment consisted of several indicators.
Among them are related to sanitation, greening, community empowerment, and community participation in environmental cleanliness. (cah/yon)
