Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The RT and RW heads are leaders and controllers for the success of environmental management in their respective areas. This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, when giving direction at the Partnership and Cooperation in Environmental Management at Kampung Bersinar 2019 held at the Savana Hotel Malang, Tuesday (29/10/2019).
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, who was present accompanied by the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP Widayati, S.Sos, MM, expressed his appreciation to the participants who had attended and provided input and suggestions for environmental management in Malang City.
"Clean and environmentally friendly living behavior is a must for all of us. We must instill it so that it becomes a culture in our daily lives," he said.
Kampung Bersinar, according to him, is a competition that aims to revive the community's habit of living cleanly, being environmentally friendly and managing the environment well, one of which is by throwing garbage in its place.
He also said that Malang City as a pioneer of environmental love must continue to improve itself and increase public awareness through socialization and environmental love movements so that the public continues to be aware of the importance of protecting the environment.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Environmental Service, Dra. Rinawati, MM explained that this activity was carried out on the basis of the declining quality of the environment as well as to maintain the sustainability of living things in it. Therefore, this responsibility must be carried out with cooperation between the five elements commonly referred to as pentahelix collaboration.
"This activity was carried out with the aim of bringing together stakeholder with villages that have successfully managed the environment so that discussions can take place to improve the quality of the environment in the future," said Rinawati.
He explained that through this activity, it is hoped that partnerships and cooperation will be established between the five pillars in sustainable environmental management in the shining village.
On that occasion, awards were also presented to the top ten RW of the 2019 Environmental Village Competition Towards Shining Village, namely RW 11 Merjosari Village, RW 5 Arjowinangun Village, RW 6 Balearjosari Village, RW 2 Sawojajar Village, RW 4 Rampal Celaket Village, RW 7 Lesanpuro Village, RW 6 Arjowinangun Village, RW 9 Merjosari Village, RW 6 Tasikmadu Village and RW 3 Rampal Celaket Village.
