(malangkota.go.id) – For residents of Malang City who are taxpayers and have buildings categorized as cultural heritage, they should be able to maintain them well and not transfer them to others. Because, if sold, it is feared that the cultural heritage building will undergo changes or renovations.

In relation to this, the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) of Malang City plans to provide Land and Building Tax (PBB) relief for owners of cultural heritage buildings. The regulation will later be included in the Malang Mayor's Regulation on Cultural Heritage.
This was conveyed by the Head of BP2D Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT, Wednesday (30/10/2019). According to him, the amount of incentives in the form of cultural heritage PBB relief will still be discussed further. "We will still coordinate with the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) that oversees cultural heritage," he added.
"Providing incentives for owners of cultural heritage buildings is indeed very possible. In the Malang City Regional Regulation, there are already binding rules. Later, we will also record how many cultural heritages there are in Malang City," continued the bespectacled man.
When asked about the approximate amount, the man who is often called Sam Ade admitted that he did not know for sure. "According to the rules, the maximum is 50 percent, but for certainty we will discuss it again later," he explained.
As is known, BP2D has previously provided incentives for farmers in the form of PBB relief. With these incentives, it is hoped that farmers will not convert their land for buildings or other purposes. "The regulation can basically also be applied to residents who own cultural heritage," concluded Ade. (say/yon)
