(malangkota.go.id) – One of the causes of traffic congestion in Malang City is drivers who park in random places. Not only two-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles are often seen parked carelessly, especially online transportation providers.
As in the area of Jl. Trunojoyo which is close to Kota Baru Station and several other strategic areas, for example the areas of Jl. Kawi and Dieng where online transportation providers are often seen parking haphazardly.
Regarding the phenomenon, the Malang City Transportation Agency has actually often carried out control, but there are still those who come back. Even though there are signs prohibiting parking in their place, they are ignored.
Some of these things were conveyed by the Head of the Control and Order Division of the Malang City Transportation Agency, Musthaqim Jaya, Friday (08/11/2019). In the future, he said that the Transportation Agency will continue to carry out control, and if necessary will involve police personnel, because the police have the authority to impose sanctions.
In addition, Musthaqim explained, his party will place three to four personnel at points that are used as random parking areas by online transportation service providers, so that it does not appear to be an official parking area and will not further trigger traffic jams.
"To provide awareness and for the community to be orderly is indeed not easy and requires good cooperation between various parties. However, for drivers who are proven to have committed several violations, they will be subject to minor sanctions up to sanctions from police officers. (say/yon)
