Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City has again achieved an achievement by winning an award as a creative industry city and digital-based UMKM at the 2019 Harian Surya Award event held at the Grand Dafam Hotel Surabaya, (11/11/2019). This award was received directly by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji.
At the event held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Harian Surya, Harian Surya gave awards to a number of institutions, both local governments and agencies that are working to maximize digital technology in the current industrial era 4.0.
Apart from Malang City, Surya Daily also gave the same award to Kediri City, Mojokerto Regency, Lamongan Regency, Nganjuk Regency.
Malang City is considered capable of giving rise to creative industries through platform digital. Malang City is also considered successful in developing the MSME sector based on platform the same one.
For this achievement, Malang Mayor Sutiaji expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given by Harian Surya. According to him, this award increasingly shows the roadmap that is being built, namely growing a digital-based creative economy. "This is the potential that is captured," said Sutiaji.
Sutiaji added, pentahelix synergy with various stakeholders including universities will continue to be carried out. Because with that, the Malang City Government has successfully developed to answer the challenges in the Industry 4.0 era.
