Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – While attending the Inauguration and Handover Ceremony of the General Chairperson of the TP PKK for the 2019-2024 Period at Balai Kartini Jakarta, Tuesday (12/11/2019), Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko explained that the focus of the activity was handling stunting.
“Handling stunting "This has become a special message delivered by Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian as the General Chairperson of TP PKK, so that the local government, especially us in Malang City, will also support this," he said.
Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi also said that the role of the PKK in the future must be maximized to realize community welfare.
"The role of the PKK as ring one can contribute to accelerating welfare while collaborating with... stakeholder and the potential in the region so that these goals can be achieved immediately," he said.
Another point that was emphasized in this activity was handling stunting to achieve superior human resources. This direction is an important note for the Malang City Government, including the Malang City PKK TP.
"Number stunting in Malang City we must continue to suppress or reduce it. Don't let it get bigger by implementing the programs and activities that we have set," said Sofyan Edi.
Handling violence against women and children is also a special concern. This is triggered by the increasing number of violence against women and children that has recently occurred frequently.
In line with Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi, Deputy Chairperson I of TP PKK Malang City, Elly Estiningtyas, who was also present at the event, also emphasized that the change in the General Chairperson of TP PKK is expected to bring benefits and a positive atmosphere to the TP PKK Malang City environment.
"It is hoped that the increasingly conducive and solid atmosphere will continue to be maintained so that the Malang City PKK can work and resolve various problems, especially stunting in Malang City," he added.
"With a conducive atmosphere, we hope that various flagship programs can be implemented well according to the direction of the Chairwoman of the Malang City PKK TP," he explained. (Ts/yon)
