Clean water transport officer from PDAM Malang City Agus Irianto said that today he has brought clean water twice to RW 9, Merjosari Village. This is an action to overcome the shortage of clean water due to the PDAM network still being repaired in Joyogrand.

"There are two tanks that are operational to help residents today. We send them according to need," Agus explained, Thursday (14/11/2019).

Meanwhile, a resident of RW 9 Merjosari Edi Kristanto said that for the past three days the water from PDAM has been having problems. He said that for the past three days usually PDAM water only flows at night, and even then the water discharge is small.

"We heard that there is a PDAM channel that is currently being repaired, we hope it can be resolved soon," said Edi.

In line with Edi, Yatini, another resident of RW 9, also hopes that PDAM water will return to normal soon. At the age of 84, the resident of the Joyogrand Inside Housing admitted that she was very overwhelmed when she had to queue to get water from the tanker truck. "Yes, even though it's tiring, I have to be willing to queue, because it doesn't feel good not to have a shower for three days," said Yatini.

Separately, the Head of PDAM Malang City, M. Nor Muhlas said that regarding PDAM water in Joyogrand, there has been a notification about a pipe leak which is currently being handled by the technical team.

"There is a leak in the main pipe, so the flow is temporarily turned off. After it is finished, it will be turned back on," explained Muhlas. (cah/yon)
