Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Various methods and efforts are made by artists so that their works of art get appreciation from various parties. Such as by holding an exhibition at the Malang City DPRD Building which has been held since November 16-24, 2019.

The artists who are members of the Malang Suko Art community exhibited 112 paintings with various styles such as realistic, abstract and surreal.
The deputy chairman of the committee, Asfali, said that events like this are often held, so that it will provide more space for artists. This time, the exhibition with the theme Gumregah was held in the lobby of the Malang City DPRD building.
"Gumregah means new spirit, so besides this method being an effort by the visual artists to get closer to the DPRD members who are also the people's representatives in parliament, it is also to provide encouragement for the legislative members," explained Asfali, Monday (18/11/2019).
This DPRD building, he explained, is also a people's house, so we can and are allowed to hold this exhibition. "Most of these paintings are the work of junior high and high school teachers in Malang City who are members of the community, so students from several regions are also enthusiastic to see the work of their teachers," added Asfali.
Not only are there charming paintings, on the first floor of the Malang City DPRD building there are also three art installations and 13 batik cloths on display.
All of these works of art are neatly arranged around the pool so that when there are guests or visits from outside the area, they can immediately enjoy the beauty of the paintings on display.
Asfali further said that the paintings were not only exhibited, and those interested in having them could directly contact the committee at the exhibition location. "Paintings can be purchased starting from Rp50 thousand to Rp10 million," he said.
"Likewise with the batik cloth that is a complement to the exhibition this time, it can also be owned by those who are interested. The batik cloth can be purchased at prices ranging from 350 thousand rupiah to one million rupiah," concluded Asfali. (say/yon)
