Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Celebrating its 40th anniversary, members of the Indonesian Antique Car Enthusiasts Association (PPMKI) stopped by Malang City Hall, Friday (22/11/2019). A total of 242 antique and vintage cars decorated the yard of Malang City Hall and attracted the attention of the public.
Not only admiring the vintage cars, residents also immortalized them by taking selfies in front of the cars they admired.
PPMKI General Chair, Roni Arifudin, Friday (22/11/2019) said that his party deliberately chose Malang as the place to celebrate this anniversary because Malang has many interesting things.
"Malang is a historical city, with lots of heritage, historical relics, good tourist destinations, complete culinary and so on," he said.
All of that, explained the bespectacled man, is very suitable and liked by automotive enthusiasts, because the offerings from the areas visited are very complete. "I think it's not only PPMKI members who like Malang, tourists in general must have the same interest," he added.
Roni added that an event like this is not only a place to gather and exchange knowledge about automotive, but also has many missions. Such as helping the government program in preserving and maintaining historical relics in the form of these antique cars.
"We also held social services and campaigned for tourist destinations that we had visited to colleagues and other PPMKI members," he continued.
"The owners of hundreds of antique cars are spread across several areas in East Java, West Java, Central Java and Jakarta. Among the antique cars, the oldest is a 1928 Ford type A.
