Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – On its 40th anniversary, the Indonesian Antique Car Enthusiasts Association (PPMKI) chose Malang as the place to celebrate, because this area has many attractions, such as its history. Malang is a historical city that has many historical relics, a heritage tourism city, rich in natural tourism and culinary tourism.
From the complete attraction, 242 vintage vehicle owners decided to gather in Malang to enjoy the various tourist destinations. As lovers and preservers of vintage cars, community members also exchange knowledge, experience and strengthen ties.
PPMKI chairman Roni Arifudin, Saturday (23/11/2019) said that in every birthday event like this, community members also hold social services and campaign for driving safety. A number of natural, heritage and culinary tourist destinations around the event location were also visited.
For example, the Transport Museum in Batu City which collects various classic cars, Malang City with its many ancient or historic buildings and Malang Regency which is known for the beauty of its beaches.
"Thus, from events like this, members of the PPMKI community also promote various attractions of a region. Such as to friends, cross-community members and relatives who cannot attend activities like this," added Roni.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko said that his party greatly appreciated this event, and it was a matter of pride that Malang City was chosen as the place to commemorate the PPMKI Anniversary with the theme Exotic 40th PPMKI.
"We are also proud of the members of this community, because they have a high level of concern in terms of maintaining these antique and historic cars," he said.
"In the future, for the next event, it would be better to invite students, so that an event like this can also be used as a learning event for them," the bespectacled man hoped. (say/yon)
