Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Deputy Mayor of Malang reminded to increase vigilance as rain began to fall in Malang City. This was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko while leading the Sukun River Clean Sweep (Saberkal) movement ceremony centered in the Janti area, Bandungrejosari Village, Sukun District, Malang City, Sunday (24/11/2019).
"Long dry seasons often cause dry leaves to fall and enter the gutters. It seems trivial, but if it continues, it will eventually pile up, clump together and cause the water channels to become clogged," explained the man who is familiarly called Bung Edi.
He added that there was still unwise behavior from the community, namely littering.
"Building materials can also enter the river. So you can imagine the impact and consequences later. So we are present together in this place, for no other reason than to gather strength together and at the same time affirm our commitment to making Malang a clean city," he invited.
The Sukun River Clean Sweep (Saberkal) Janti event, Bandungrejosari Sub-district, Sukun District was also attended by Deputy Chairperson I of the Malang City PKK TP, Sukun Sub-district Head, Sukun Sub-district PKK, Bandungrejosari Sub-district, community leaders, elements of the TNI-Polri, RW-RT, Malang City DLH, Disperkim, BPBD, Tagana and the local community.
