Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – After attending a series of activities for the East Java Healthy School Environment Competition Team reception at the Malang City Education Office and opening the Saber Pungli Socialization for RW and several other agendas, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji reviewed the reconstruction work of the Muharto Bridge, Monday (25/11/2019).
Accompanied by the Head of the Malang City PUPR Ir. Hadi Santoso and the Head of Public Relations of the Malang City Secretariat M. Nur Widianto, S.Sos, the Mayor of Malang walked and went down to the location under the bridge to find out more details about the handling scenario for the Muharto Bridge.
"Yes, check the location and there is a technical explanation from Mr. Soni (nickname of the Head of DPUPR Malang City). From the explanation, there are several jobs that are not directly assembled at the location point, but are directly carried out by the factory, then just install them. Of course, technical calculations have been carried out, so I can say, this (Muharto Bridge) is being done as well as possible, and God willing it can be completed on schedule," said Sutiaji.
The Mayor of Malang also advised the Head of the Malang City PUPR to continue to supervise and monitor the condition of other bridges.
The Head of the Malang City PUPR responded to what the Mayor of Malang said and emphasized that these steps have been taken so far.
"Yes, maybe the public just doesn't know, because the DPUPR team often... going on a wild goose chase to the gutters and also the riverbanks. One of them is to do the detection, and certainly if it is deemed necessary to have technical handling, we will do it," said Soni.
The sudden inspection of the Muharto bridge was also used as a means of greeting residents by the Mayor of Malang. In addition to informing about the handling of the bridge, Sutiaji also invited residents to be wise about the environment and confirmed about the health services received by residents.
