Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to increase the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Malang City, the Malang City Government is increasingly committed to implementing the Online Tax Program. This was realized by holding a Socialization on the Online Tax Program in the Framework of the Corruption Prevention Program in the Regional Revenue Sector by the Malang City Government and the Korsupgah Team of the Republic of Indonesia KPK Region 6 in the Plenary Room of the Malang City DPRD, Wednesday (4/12/2019).
The socialization was held by the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) of Malang City by inviting hundreds of taxpayers in Malang City.
The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, stated that the activity was able to become starting points Malang City will implement online taxes comprehensively in 2020.
“Hopefully this will be starting points "We are all in the implementation of online tax, and what has been facilitated by the Korsupgah Team of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission is not left alone. The point here is that our Korsupgah KPK friends have confidence that the potential for income in Malang City can be greatly increased," he explained.
He also revealed that he also realized that the potential for income from the tax sector in Malang City was not only large from hotels and restaurants, but also from the potential for income in the parking sector.
What the KPK suggested will also be the concern of the Malang City Government to improve the tax collection system. One of them is by implementing an online system and strengthening the database of potential taxes manually.
"We also don't want to immediately trust the online system, so in the future we will create a double system, there will be... taping box online and also manually based on potential studies," he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Committee of the Republic of Indonesia, Basaria Panjaitan, who was also present on this occasion, said that through the online tax system, the awareness of taxpayers to make payments as expected can be fulfilled, so that the money that goes into the regional treasury is indeed recorded correctly and in accordance.
"This is one of the real actions of the KPK, how to increase regional income, especially so that tax payments really enter the regional treasury," he said.
Currently, his party together with the local government is trying to provide facilities through tools in every place that must pay taxes. The tool will later control how much money comes in.
Furthermore, with the presence of taxpayers in Malang City, the values of their awareness can be fostered. It is hoped that in the future there will be integration that can be realized through the online tax tool and corruption prevention can be carried out.
Head of BP2D Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT revealed that until now, taxpayers who have implemented the online system are around 176. In the future, his party hopes that all taxpayer business actors can implement the online system.
"It's around 176, and they are various, there are hotels, restaurants, boarding houses and others. Most of them are also increasing, later in the future we hope that all hotel, restaurant, entertainment, parking, advertising taxpayers can immediately implement the online system. So everything is transparent and doesn't take too much time," he explained. (public relations/yon)
