Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (Bapenda) held a thanksgiving in the Malang City Bapenda meeting room, Tuesday (28/1/2020) along with the change of identity from the previous Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D).

If previously the BP2D's duties according to the nomenclature and duties in the previous Regional Regulation and Mayoral Regulation only handled public services and collection of regional taxes, now the Bapenda's duties have increased.
In accordance with statutory regulations, as mandated by Law Number 28 of 2009 concerning Regional Taxes & Regional Retributions, the Malang City Bapenda remains tasked with handling services and collection of nine types of regional taxes.
"And added coordination and accounting functions of Malang City's original regional income (PAD) which includes the collection and bookkeeping of regional taxes, all regional levies and other legitimate original regional income such as asset rental and others," explained Malang Deputy Mayor Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko.
The Deputy Mayor, who is familiarly called Bung Edi, hopes that the mandate of Law No. 28 of 2009 can be implemented properly by Bapenda. "The second hope is related to the role of the PAD coordination and accounting function so that it becomes clearer who is authorized and responsible so that there is no misuse of the PAD." Over lapping between regional devices," he explained.
Bung Edi also hopes that Bapenda under the command of Sam Ade (the nickname for the Head of Bapenda Malang City, Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT) will remain optimal in carrying out intensification and extensification efforts in order to increase PAD from the tax sector.
For 2020, the PAD target for Malang City is more than IDR 731 billion. Bapenda itself is targeted to be able to record revenue from the tax sector of up to IDR 621 billion, or an increase of 23 percent from the 2019 target of IDR 501 billion, while the value of levies is around IDR 110 billion.
"With increasing tasks and increasing targets, it means that all Bapenda crew must work harder and must remain optimistic about being able to meet the targets," said Bung Edi.
A similar opinion was conveyed by Deputy Chairman II of the Malang City DPRD, H. Asmualik. He hopes that along with the change in the name and nomenclature of BP2D, Bapenda's performance in the future can be more optimal in efforts to meet targets.
"This spirit of change must be brought into every real work of Bapenda in collecting tax money from the community, so that the increase in regional income through the tax and retribution sector can continue to be boosted," said Asmualik.
"Our shared hope is that with hard work and support from various parties, it can provide benefits to the community in the form of development programs and people's welfare by the Malang City Government," he added.
Responding to this, the Head of Bapenda Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT ensured that all his staff will continue to work diligently, happily and with high integrity.
"We will try to do better. Tax officers must also be more disciplined in carrying out their duties so as to provide a real example for Taxpayers," said Sam Ade d'Kross, the nickname of the man who is also known as an Aremania figure.
Despite carrying a new name and paradigm with more enriched tasks and functions, Bapenda's performance will continue to be closely monitored and supervised by the KPK RI Region VI Korsupgah Team which has been providing assistance to BP2D and the Malang City Government since last year.
As a quick move, on Wednesday (29/1) afternoon, Sam Ade and his staff immediately held a coordination meeting with stakeholders to actualize the online tax system. "Hopefully, starting early February, we can implement a more updated and integrated online tax system or e-Tax," he said.
The man who is also known as a national sports figure added that e-Tax includes online services for hotel/boarding house tax, restaurant, parking tax, e-BPHTB and e-Advertisement in collaboration with Bank Jatim according to the MoU and referring to the directions of the KPK Korsupgah Team. "So that it can cover business actors who are registered as Taxpayers, both old Taxpayers who already exist or those who are newly registered," explained Sam Ade.
Head of Bank Jatim Malang Branch, Herry Setya Yudakka, emphasized that his party as a working partner will appreciate and fully support Bapenda programs.
"In addition to carrying out our duties as a perception bank, we are also ready to support online tax or e-Tax implemented by Bapenda through our innovative applications and systems," he explained at the Bapenda Office.
Herry even immediately deployed the IT team of Bank Jatim to be proactive and attend the coordination meeting that took place this afternoon. "This optimization and synergy effort is expected to improve services for the community and support the efforts of the Malang City Government to increase PAD from the tax sector," he concluded.
