The Mayor of Malang again gave instructions to Perumda Tugu Tirta to immediately add terminals and re-function the existing drilled wells even though their reach is only 250-270 people.

"I also ask that there be a water tank that can enter the water channel in each resident's house. Although small, the water can flow, so that it can reduce public complaints," said Sutiaji.

The bespectacled man emphasized that a number of pumps would also be added soon to draw water from Tlogomas and Wendit so that it could flow to areas affected by the water blackout, including the Upper Buring area.

"In the future, I hope that we can overcome this disaster together soon. We will also immediately provide medical treatment to the community so that the impact of this water shortage does not disrupt public health. Maybe we can also provide vitamins," he added.

Sutiaji also emphasized to Perumda Tugu Tirta to be able to monitor and guarantee the quality of water that will be distributed to the community, so that the community can be calm and get certainty that the water they will consume is suitable water.

"It also aims to dispel hoax news that is often raised by irresponsible people in order to worsen the situation. One of them is the cleanliness of the water that is distributed," he said. (Ts/yon)
