Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To make the 2020 Online Population Census (SP) a success, the Malang City Government together with the Malang City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held a Coordination Meeting Satu Data Population in the Malang City Hall Courtroom, Monday (10/2/2020).
On this occasion, the Head of BPS Malang City Drs. Sunaryo, M. Si asked all state civil servants (ASN) in the Malang City Government to help make SP Online 2020 a success.
Sunaryo expressed his gratitude for the support and commitment of the Mayor of Malang to help make the population census a success, which will be held from February 15, 2020 to March 31, 2020.
"The population census is very important, therefore we are very grateful for the total support from the Mayor of Malang. Hopefully ASN in Malang City also fully supports the census activities," said Sunaryo, Monday (10/2).
Population census, Sunaryo said, is very important as a provider of data, number, composition, distribution, and character towards one population data in Indonesia. In addition, it also provides demographic parameters and population projections and population characteristics.
"The 2020 population census data will not only be useful for now, but will also be very useful to anticipate what will happen in Indonesia in the future," explained Sunaryo.
Similarly, Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji acknowledged that accurate data is very important to be able to make various policies, including in Malang City. "We hope that all census participants answer honestly. Because only with honesty, data collected from the community will truly be beneficial," explained Sutiaji. (cah/yon)
