Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government received a working visit from Commission III of the Majalengka Regency DPRD, Tuesday (18/2/2020). This working visit was related to the installation and management of Public Street Lighting (PJU) in Malang City.

The group of Commission III of the Majalengka Regency DPRD was received by the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Malang City Secretariat, Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT along with related regional apparatus in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall. The group leader who is also the Chairperson of Commission III of the Majalengka Regency DPRD, Dadang Ahmad Satari, said that so far Malang City has been good in the PJU installation program.
"Malang City is worthy of being a reference for learning, because in our opinion this city (Malang) has succeeded and its tourism is also advanced. Such as the existence of Colorful Village and Tridi Village (3D). We need to learn a lot and compare it from other more advanced areas, so that it can be applied in our area," he said.
Meanwhile, Assistant for Economy and Development of Malang City Regional Secretariat Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT said that Malang City planned to install around 36 thousand PJU, where until now only 16.200 points have been realized. She explained that the target for installing PJU will be realized gradually and according to priority scale.
Meanwhile, in relation to tourist destinations, the woman in hijab explained, the Malang City Government is not only supported by the installation of PJU in strategic places, but also by collaborating with various parties, such as communities, students and residents. "By collaborating, the results will also be maximized," she added.
Diah further said that in Malang City there are many creative and innovative young people, so that various potentials can be maximized. "Malang City has minimal nature-based destinations, so creativity is needed to increase the number of tourist visits and one of them is by encouraging the growth of thematic tourism," he explained.
