The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, became a speaker In-house Training fast way to increase Regional Original Income held by MSI at Savana Hotel Malang, Thursday (20/2/2020)

Mayor Sutiaji in his material said that increasing PAD that is allocated properly is certainly an inseparable part of the performance of Malang City's regional indicators. "For that, there needs to be strong planning and strategy in realizing this," he explained.

He also added that a solid team is also needed. The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Malang City is the spearhead of increasing PAD in Malang City. "Starting from the top leadership to the implementing staff in the field must have a strong coordination network," he added.

He explained that the effectiveness of development in Malang City cannot be separated from the management of Regional Original Income (PAD) which is also a reflection of the independence of a region and pure regional income which is the main capital for regions in financing government and development in their regions.

"The Regional Government in an effort to optimize the use of regional wealth and increase regional original income, namely by increasing regional spending, needs to be balanced with regional financial receipts including from tax and levy revenues," he explained again.

The high government spending is used to finance development in various fields and sectors, both physical and non-physical development. The success of a region can be seen from the PAD and the prosperity of its people, so that the independence of a region can be seen from how much PAD contributes to the regional APBD.

In principle, he said that the greater the contribution of PAD to the APBD, the smaller the dependence of the region on the center. PAD does not only come from sources of income and assistance but must also come from the potential of the region itself.

"For that reason, we will continue to improve performance and target the potential of taxes and levies owned by Malang City. The goal is to improve the welfare of the community and the success of development in this city," he said.

The presence of Sutiaji as a resource person on this occasion, as stated by the Director of MSI, Prof. Dr. M. Mas 'ud Said, MM, took into account the City of Malang which is known as The Most Innovative City. "And that is inseparable from the cool hand of a regional head, in this case Mr. Sutiaji," said Mas'ud Said. (Ts/yon)
