Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The work program of each Regional Apparatus (OPD) within the Malang City Government should be evenly distributed so that it will have a positive impact on all sectors, such as economic growth. Related to this, until now the export value is smaller than imports, and to reduce it can be started from the region, namely how basic domestic needs are met by raising regional potential.

Several things were conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji when opening the Regional Apparatus Forum/Cross-Regional Apparatus in the Framework of Preparing the Work Plan (Renja) of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Service (DPUPRPKP) of Malang City in 2021. The event, which was held at the Ijen Suites Hotel, Wednesday (26/02/2020), was led by the DPUPRKP of Malang City and was attended by a number of regional apparatuses and representatives of residents.
At this moment, the bespectacled man also presented some data such as the declining open unemployment rate, where in 2018 it was at 6,79 percent and in 2019 it was 6,04 percent. From that data, the biggest lever is from educational institutions, especially universities. The 2019 Gini Ratio Index in Malang City is quite high at 0,44 percent. That figure is categorized as moderate inequality because the target from the President of the Republic of Indonesia is 0,36 percent.
"Therefore, the task of educational institutions is how people are skilled and not just smart. On the other hand, development programs in Malang City must be able to boost the gap or reduce the distance between the rich and the poor," added Sutiaji.
He further said that the Malang City Government will continue to encourage investment that has an impact on the micro economy. Such as LRT and toll roads that currently have a bright spot, so that the gini ratio will also improve later, the poverty rate will decrease, the HDI will increase and life expectancy will have a significant impact.
Sutiaji also emphasized that the orientation or development program in 2021 should not be stagnant, but there should be benefits that are evenly distributed. Do not focus on money or physical development alone, but more on programs. "For example, to overcome traffic congestion, I plan to create new road access. It is currently still in process, and for the time being, traffic engineering is being carried out," he explained. (say/yon)
